CABANATUAN City — A junior police officer in Nueva Ecija heads the list of five suspected drug personalities who were arrested in buy-bust operations on Wednesday.
City police chief Supt. Pedro D. Soliba identified the arrested lawman as PO3 Edmundo Plamenco, 35, married, of Fajardo St., Bgy. Aduas Sur, this city, and assigned with the Palayan City police.
Intelligence and anti-illegal drug operatives led by Senior Insp. Joel M. dela Cruz nabbed the lawman and his cohort, identified as Edmund Corpuz, 43, of Flowerlane St., Bgy. Aduas Norte, this city in a buy-bust operation on Rizal St., Bgy. Nabao at 4:30 a.m.
Soliba said the duo yielded a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and an aluminum foil of dried marijuana leaves with a street value of P5,020.
Also nabbed in separate buy-bust operations were Rodrigo Balajadia, 37, of Bgy. Narvacan, Guimba; Zaldy Millado, 36, of Bgy. Kabulihan, General Natividad; and Edgardo Balajadia, 44, alias Amang, of Bgy Imelda, this city.
Seized from Rodrigo and Millado were 45 plastic sachets containing shabu worth P90,000 while Edgardo yielded 22 plastic sachets containing shabu with a street value of P40,000.
The three suspects were collared in successive operations conducted in Bgy. Bernardo District.
Charges of violation of Sections 5 and/or 11 of Article II of RA 9165 have been filed against the suspects before the City Prosecutor’s Office here.
