ANGELES CITY—A brother of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando Tetangco Jr. and two other men were found dead inside an abandoned sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Barangay Pampang here on Thursday.

Senior Supt. Danilo Bautista, Angeles police chief, said a security guard found the bullet-riddled bodies of Rene Tetangco, Florencio Yap and Dennis Guinto inside a Ford Expedition left on a vacant lot at Timog Park at about 8 a.m.

Bautista said the victims were probably killed in another area and were left here to mislead investigators.

Apalit Mayor-elect Oscar Tetangco Jr., a nephew of the victim, said he did not know of any enemy of his uncle. He said the family would wait for the results of the investigation to know the motive in the murders.

Bautista said their investigations showed that Yap called his wife at 6 p.m. on Wednesday informing her that he was in a fighting cock farm in Mexico town.

Yap reportedly told his wife that he would later play poker at a sports club on Friendship Highway in this city.

Bautista said this was the last piece of information that Yap’s wife got from him before he, Rene Tetangco and Guinto were found dead.
