nine days and discovered dead inside a private cemetery in Pasig City last Tuesday.

Senior Supt. Mario Rariza Jr., Pasig police chief, said the suspect, Joseph Marson Asis Dimayacyac, 36, security guard of Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, was caught on video dragging the victim, Jean Beatrice de Leon, 9, of Dilang 1, Nagpayong, Bgy. Pinagbuhatan, to a dimly lit portion of the cemetery at 8:29 p.m. of Nov. 26.

On Dec. 3 at 8:25 a.m. De Leon’s decomposing body was found inside Evergreen Cemetery.

Dimayacyac was arrested by elements of Pasig Police Follow-Up Division led by SPO4 Raul Casino at 2 a.m. yesterday inside his house on Riverside St. Bgy. Macabing, Sta. Rosa Laguna.

“Nakita sa CCTV na itinuro ni Dimayacyac yung CR sa batang biktima tapos sinundan nya ito sakay ng kanyang bisikleta, nang makakuha sya ng pagkakataon binuhat nya yung bata nang lumabas ng CR at dinala sa isang madilim na lugar at doon sinimulang gahasain,” SPO4 Roger Villanueva, of the Criminal Investigation Unit said.

Victim shouted for help which prompted the suspect to cover her mouth with a handkerchief.

The suspect is currently detained at Pasig detention cell facing charges of rape with homicide before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.
