MANILA, Philippines – Carjackers took a Mitsubishi Montero Sport in Quezon City, police said Wednesday.

Police investigators said 2 gunmen took the sport utility vehicle (NOR 105) at the corner of Maria Clara and Baco streets in Barangay San Isidro.

Investigators said that family driver Jesus Ceballos was cleaning the vehicle when the gunmen approached him and forcibly tookthe vehicle.

Police said the vehicle is registered under the name of businessman Jose Benedicto of Barangay Sta. Teresita.

Anti-car theft units have been alerted of the latest stolen vehicle. Investigations are ongoing to pinpoint the group behind the carjacking. — report from radio dzMM
