MANILA, Philippines — The head of a tax drivers’ cooperative was shot dead at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Tuesday morning.

Edito Ruaya, president of the NAIA Transport Service Cooperative, was having breakfast at a canteen inside the NAIA complex around 6 a.m. when the unidentified gunmen shot him from behind.

Witnesses said the killers casually walked away after shooting Ruaya.

Police have yet to determine the motive for the murder.
