MAKATI CITY, Philippines – A 60-year-old man was killed when a group of men robbed employees of a research firm in Barangay Bangkal, Makati City, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to initial reports by the Makati police, around 4 or 5 men held up 3 MVO & R Services employees who withdrew P300,000 in payroll money.
One of the employees ran inside their office building to ask for help, prompting the suspects to open fire.
Bystander Norberto Barrios, who was buying food outside the building, was hit by a stray bullet.
“Kung titignan kasi ‘yong trajectory ng bullet talagang nadamay lang ang biktima,” said Senior Superintendent Froilan Bonifacio Makati police chief.
Police are still looking for the suspects, who fled on board 2 motorcycles.
