A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was found dead near a construction site in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

Police said they suspect foul play in the boy’s death because of bruises found in his head.

“It seems that his forehead was struck with a rock while the left side of his head was hit with a piece of wood,” said PO1 Junard Cinco, assistant investigator of the Lapu-Lapu police. 

The boy’s body was found around 9 a.m. near a watery area in sitio Caimitohan.

Police said the boy was last seen alive on Friday night in a store where he bought junk food.

The boy’s mother reported the boy’s disappearance to the police.
