An amateur boxer was stabbed in the stomach with an ice pick in sitio Naga, barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City.

Markil Berdin, 18, of sitio Kinalumsan, barangay Canjolaw, Lapu-Lapu City, was on his way home when four men approached him and stabbed him in the abdomen past 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Berdin was later treated at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu CIty.
