MANILA, Philippines—A revenue officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue was found dead Monday morning inside his Quezon City home with a bullet wound in his head, police said.

Police identified the victim as Jonald Varilla, Revenue Officer I of the BIR Las Pinas Field Office and a resident of Barangay (village) San Isidro, Quezon City.

It was a househelper, Beatriz Rivera, who discovered the victim’s body inside the master’s bedroom.

The victim died of a gunshot wound in the head as police recovered a Glock pistol and ammunition from the master’s bedroom.
