A NEWLY-ELECTED  barangay councilor, two cohorts and a promo girl were arrested by anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a buy-bust operation in Cagayan de Oro City last Sunday.

PDEA Director General Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. identified the suspects as George Paul Go, 34, newly-elected barangay councilor of Barangay Lapinig, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte; Hazel Ramosor, 28, single, resident of Phase 4, Agay-ayan, Gingoog City; Almagret Rodriguez, 32, single, residing at Tapia Street, Gingoog City and Sharon Vallecera, 22, promo girl for a famous cigarette brand, residing at Block 1, Lot 31,Phase II-B, Villa Trinitas Subdivision, Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City.

Cacdac said the suspects were arrested at Westbound Bulua Terminal, Cagayan de Oro City.

Cacdac said PDEA agents confiscated a piece of square-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet, three pieces of small square-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, and three pieces of big square-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic weighing five grams of shabu with a street value of P40,000.
