An unidentified man shot dead a policeman who was bringing his child to school in Batangas province early Monday morning.

Police are now tracking down the gunman who killed PO2 Dominic Bituin at the Padre Garcia Central School in Padre Garcia town, radio dzBB’s Glen Juego reported.

A child was hit and wounded in the incident, the report said.

Investigators are looking into how the gunman managed to get inside the school premises with a firearm.

An initial investigation showed Bituin was about to drop off his child at the Padre Garcia Central School when the gunman approached him and opened fire.

Police are looking into possible motives behind the killing.

Despite the shooting, the classes there continued, a separate dzBB report said. — BM, GMA News
