Bataan teacher shot dead in front of students

BALANGA CITY, Bataan — A teacher was shot dead by a lone gunman in front of an elementary school in Barangay (Village) Tenejero here on Monday morning, police said.
Superintendent Arnold Gunnacao, Bataan police director, said Josephine Estacio, 42, a Grade 1 teacher at the Tenejero Elementary School, took a bullet in her head, near the right ear, and died instantly.
Gunnacao said the gunman, who escaped aboard a motorcycle, shot Estacio in front of some students and motorists at about 7:15 a.m. He said classes in the school on Monday were suspended following the killing.
