SAN Leonardo, Ecija — A motorcycle-riding man, who was flagged down for driving without a helmet, landed in jail after he yielded a hand gun and several ammunition at a police checkpoint here Wednesday night.

Provincial Public Safety Company chief Supt. Ricardo E. Villanueva identified the arrested suspect as Juanito Javier, 50, married, bank teller, of Rizal St., Bgy. Poblacion, this town.

Members of the PPSC 4th Maneuver Platoon and the Gapan PNP-AFP Action Center nabbed him at an anti-criminality checkpoint in Bgy. Mallorca at 10:10 p.m.
