ATM card thieves killed
MANILA, Philippines—Two suspected robbers who had just divested a man of his ATM card in Quezon City were killed in a shootout with policemen who spotted the robbers escaping on the motorcycle they stole from their victim.
The identities of the two suspects were still unknown as of presstime, said Chief Inspector Benjamin Elenzano Jr. of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.
One of the men was described as between 25 to 30 years old, 5’5” in height and wearing a blue shirt and jeans, while the other was between 30 to 35 years old, 5’4” in height and wearing a white shirt and jeans.
Elenzano said CIDU operatives spotted the two men aboard a motorcycle at around 11:45 p.m. Thursday along Agham Road while escaping from their victim.Julie M. Aurelio
