MANILA, Philippines – A member of the Philippine Army died after he was hit by a speeding vehicle in Taguig City at past midnight yesterday, a police official said.
According to a report, T/Sgt. Domingo Alimorong, 50, was crossing Lawton Avenue when a speeding van hit him about 12:10 a.m. He was a member of the Army Support Command.
He died on the spot, while the suspect fled the scene, said investigator Police Officer 2 Ramil Olisco.
SPO2 Pedro Santenta authorities have yet to identify the driver since there were no witnesses to the crime. “The area was dark and nobody saw the incident or the vehicle’s plate number,” Santenta said.
