ZARAGOSA, Nueva Ecija — Two unidentified armed men seized at gunpoint a black Toyota pick-up truck when its driver and his companion stopped at a restaurant for breakfast here last Monday.
Police said the alleged carnapping incident took place in front of Eva’s Restaurant in Bgy. Sto. Rosario Young at around 9 a.m.
The two carnap victims were identified as Gaudencio Yago, 57, married, manager of Gen. Natividad Breeding Farm, of Bgy. Balangkare Norte, General Natividad, Nueva Ecija; and driver Cipriano Sirain, 50, of Bgy. Balangkare Sur.
Investigation showed the two victims decided to stop at said restaurant to partake of their breakfast.
Police said the manager alighted first from the Toyota Hilux pick-up with no license plates and conduction sticker number TV-8848, registered to Gen. Natividad Breeding Farm while the driver maneuvered to park the vehicle.
At this juncture, two men wearing jacket and sunglasses and armed with handguns allegedly approached the driver and at gunpoint ordered him to turn on the engine and drive out of the establishment toward La Paz, Tarlac.
Police said the suspects then commandeered the vehicle and dropped off the driver in Bgy. Caut, La Paz town before escaping.
Police are still investigating the incident.
