MARILAO, BULACAN, Philippines – Hijacked appliances worth P1.4 million were recovered by the police from a house in Barangay Sta. Rosa II here on Thursday.

The appliances were seized before these were to be sold to Pampanga dealers, police said.

Among those seized from the house of Nomeriano Cristobal were 27 units of flat screen television sets, two air conditioners, a washing machine and 22 refrigerators.

Senior Supt. Fernando Villanueva, Bulacan police director, said Cristobal’s neighbor, Reynaldo Florida, who was contacted by the hijack suspects to help store the stolen items, may also be charged with the crime.

Police said the goods were stolen on Dec. 6 from a hijacked truck in Bicutan in Taguig City. Carmela Reyes-Estrope, Inquirer Central Luzon
