A 50-YEAR-OLD American was stabbed and seriously wounded by unidentified men while drinking in a store in Cagayan de Oro City Wednesday night.

Michael Cary Carpenter sustained five knife wounds in the chest and was taken to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center in Cagayan de Oro City, the Police Regional Office 10 said.

Initial investigation showed that Carpenter was drinking with some Filipino friends at Izza Store located at the Buena Oro Terminal in Macasandig when he was attacked.

The suspects are still being hunted, police said.  Alfred Dalizon
