DIGOS CITY– CHARGES were being prepared against an American national here who was arrested after he allegedly strangled a janitor and also tried to stab him using a spoon on Thursday.

City police director Superintendent Rey Niemes Cuevas said Remy Braza, 20, who works at a boarding house along First Crumb Street here, sought police help after he was allegedly attacked by Michael Fagan, 54, a resident of New Jersey.

Cuevas said responding police officers caught up with Fagan. Niemes said an alcohol test showed that Fagan was drunk at that time. Orlando B. Dinoy, Inquirer Mindanao
