Slain was Alvarez I. Jaman, 54, married, of Barangay Maligue. He sustained five gunshot wounds in the body and left elbow and was brought to the Basilan community Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Alex Disani Asanil, 29, married, also of Barangay Maligue, sustained a slight wound on his left lower back and was brought to the Alano hospital for treatment and was later evacuated to Zamboanga City for further medical attention. He was also a driver of a tricycle with passenger on board identified as Buhari Onsa Salahuddin, 70. married of Manggal, Sumisip. They were shot with .45 caliber pistol by gunmen riding tandem on a motorcycle.

Initial investigation disclosed that while the victims were on board a blue tricycle driven by Asanil, on their way home to Maligue when gunmen riding on a motorcycle opened fire on them. Recovered at the crime scene were seven empty shells of .45 caliber pistol. Taken from the body of Asanil was a slug of a .45 caliber pistol.
