NINE passenger of an air conditioned bus were held up at gunpoint by three armed men who posed as passengers before dawn Thursday in Pasay City.
Police investigator PO2 Catalino Gazmen Jr. said the victims were on board a Malanday-Metro Link bus (TVX-692) driven by Joseph Redera and was traversing Roxas Boulevard going to Baclaran at around 1:30 a.m. when the suspects announced a heist.
One of the suspects poked a gun at the driver while his cohorts divested the passengers, mostly call center agents, of their money, cellphones and personal belongings.
Police said the suspects alighted before reaching Baclaran flyover and fled on foot.
One of the victims, Lexdel Espinosa, 39, of Imus, Cavite, identified one of the suspects through a police rogue gallery as Efren Vergara Baltazar, who was previously arrested by Pasay police for robbery.
