ANGELES City – A septuagenarian woman engaged in money lending was killed and believed raped inside her apartment in Barangay Malabanias here.

Senior Insp. Robledo Zinampan of Police Station 4 said the victim, Adelaida Bongayan, 77, lived alone at Room 5 of Acapulco Apartment.

Zinampan said the victim was killed a few days ago but her body was found only Wednesday. The victim was last seen by neighbors attending Mass last Sunday.

Her body was discovered by other tenants when they noticed a foul odor from her room. Neighbors Rosa Lurag and Ligaya Lutchavez said they saw the victim’s decomposing and naked body on her bed when they peeped into here room. She had deep wounds in the right thigh, head and face.

Police said there were no signs of forcible entry. They are looking at robbery as the motive as the victim was a known money lender.
