HOMICIDE investigators are conducting a probe of the death of a six-year-old boy whose body was fished out of Manila Bay in Manila. Manila Police District homicide section head Inspector Armando Macaraeg described the victim, who had yet to be identified, as dark and of regular build. The boy was naked when he was found by a man on a banca at around 2 p.m. on Monday in the bay’s Aplaya area inside the Baseco Compound in Port Area. Macaraeg pointed out that a boatman had noticed the boy on the water while he was docking his motorized boat and immediately brought the child to the barangay hall of barangay 649 zone 68. Village watchman Raymond Canezo brought the boy to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The police said the body bore no external wounds and that the boy might have drowned. Jeannette I. Andrade
