Six people were injured after a mentally deranged man ran amok in Cotabato City.

The suspect, identified as Uting Dumasil, was shot dead by a neighbor in Barangay Kalanganan after he went on a hacking spree and wounded six of his relatives.

The wounded victims were identified as Simeon Dumasil, Fatima Magunawal, Bai Magunawal, Adel Magunawal, Oray Magunawal, and Aya Magunawal.

The victims said the slain suspect transferred to their house a few days ago while he was undergoing medication.

The neighbor who shot the suspect, meanwhile, has yet to be identified.
