Four men were arrested after they attempted to shoot two policemen and a civilian in Sta. Catalina last Friday night.
City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo identified the suspects as Rojel Marcos y Abdurahman, 24, Carison Francisco y Acopiado, 26, Ryan Gonzales y Faustino, 27 and Jerson Alumbaring y Angeles, all residents of Mampang.
A police report disclosed that PO1 Radsmy Paraja and PO1 Shidie-Nashar Sapie were aboard a motorcycle on their way to Talon-Talon around 11 p.m. when the four suspects aboard two other motorcycles sidled up and pointed guns at the two policemen at Sta. Catalina.
A police report said the suspects’ guns jammed prompting the latter to speed towards Talon-Talon.
Policemen led by Supt. Albert Larubis mounted a hot pursuit operation and arrested the suspects. However, during the arrest the guns of the suspects were no where to be found.
At the police station, Nur Cabrera, 31, married, of Sta. Catalina, filed a complaint against them for also poking their guns at him while he was standing along the road.
Police have prepared charges against the suspects.
