At least four men linked to a shooting incident Saturday were killed in an armed encounter with authorities at the Baseco Compound in Manila Sunday.

Unfortunately, at least one village watchman accompanying the law enforcers was also wounded in the encounter, according to a report on dzBB radio Sunday afternoon.

The two suspects slain were identified as Ato Muhamad and Alvin Pilas. Recovered from them were handguns.

Police also identified the injured village watchman as John Rey Cabual.

Police are currently trying to determine if the slain men had other companions.

The report said Sunday’s encounter occurred as police were tracking down the men behind a shooting incident in the area on Saturday.

A separate report on Radyo Mo Nationwide said two children aged 8 and 10 were hit by bullets from the suspects’ firearms. — DVM, GMA News
