MANILA — Three policemen were killed and five others injured after they were shot by suspected members of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Asipulo, Ifugao Friday morning.
Authorities said the group of policemen, led by Police Inspector George Lauro, was conducting combat operations in Barangay Namal when the incident occurred.
Initial investigation showed that around 20 armed men suddenly fired shots at the policemen at around 7:30 a.m.
