TWO vendors were killed by a lone gunman in Tondo, Manila the other night.  

Live-in couple Cornelia Fernandez, alias “Connie Negra,” 33,  and Bernard Briones, 24, both of Vitas, Tondo, Manila, died-on-the-spot.

SPO1 Richard Escarlan of the Manila Police District-homicide section said the victims were selling vegetables at Buildings 19 and 20 of the Aroma Temporary Housing  in Tondo  around 6:15 p.m. when the suspect suddenly appeared and shot the victims.     Itchie G. Cabayan
