MANILA, Philippines – Two suspected Abu Sayyaf members have been arrested in Barangay Fort, Marawi City, police said Wednesday.

The suspects were identified as Termije Ahmad alias “Emran Napeh” and Reneer Lou Dongon, alias “Roly Unting”.

The two were implicated in the bombing of the Maxandrea Hotel in Cagayan de Oro last year.

Ammunition, blasting caps, batteries, a .45 caliber pistol and bomb-making materials were seized from the suspects, police said.

The 2 men are are also facing charges of kidnapping and serious illegal detention. — dzMM
