NAIC, Cavite — Two robbers, who held up an Indian national, were killed in a clash with policemen Saturday afternoon.
One of the suspects who died on the spot was identified as Arnold Estellosa Bellesa Sr., of Cabagnaan, La Castillana, Negros Occidental.
The other suspect died later while undergoing treatment at the hospital, said Senior Supt. Joselito Teodoro Esquivel Jr., Cavite police director.
Police conducted a dragnet operation after receiving a flash alarm that a robbery-holdup had transpired in neighboring Indang town.
As members of the Naic Police Station conducted a hot pursuit and blocking operation, they intercepted the suspects along the Naic-Indang Provincial Road in Bgy. Calubcob, where the suspects on board a Honda XRM motorcycle ignored the police signal to stop and instead fired at the officers.
Recovered from the slain suspects were a cal. .38 revolver, a 9mm pistol, two stolen cellphones and P4,740 cash.
