CONCEPCION, Tarlac — Police yesterday filed charges against two robbers who took jewelry from a 59-year-old victim and shot his brother in Purok 4, Barangay Alfonso Wednesday.
Town police chief Chief Insp. Neil O. Miro identified one of the suspects as Marlon Tuazon, 30, of Barangay Cubcub, Capas town, and the victims as Jose Yanga and his brother Ernesto.
Police said Ernesto and his wife were supervising the construction of their ancestral house when the two suspects entered their house and at gunpoint declared a hold-up. The suspects took the gold bracelet and two necklaces the victims were wearing.
The suspects were escaping on an unlicensed motorcycle when Jose arrived and tried to chase them but the backrider shot him. Neighbors took Jose to the Concepcion District Hospital. Police were still tracking down the suspects.
