Killed were Nelson Bello y Apolinario, married, of Bunguiao and Jose Rizalino Fernandez y Fortuna, 44, married, of Boalan.

Bello was driving an XRM motorcycle on his way to the city proper around 7:40 p.m. and when he lost control of the motorcycle’s steering bar and rammed the concrete barrier along the Lobregat Highway in Culianan. He sustained multiple injuries in the different parts of the body and was rushed to the Zamboanga City Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival.

Fernandez was driving a motorcycle when he accidentally collided with an Strada pick-up truck driven by Ronan Acaylar y Cartagena, 27, of Sinunuc in Divisoria.

Investigation showed that Acaylar was negotiating the Lobregat Highway while Fernandez traversed the center island with precautionary measure and suddenly stepped on the foot brake and stopped in the middle of the highway.

The Strada pick-up truck accidentally hit the motorcycle.

Fernandez suffered injuries in the body and was taken to the Western Mindanao Medical Center where he expired while undergoing treatment.
