Two persons were killed while one was wounded in two separate shooting and hacking incidents in the municipalities of Tambulig and Siayan, Zamboanga del Sur, last Sunday.

Killed were Bernard Randolino, 32, married, of San Jose, Tambulig and Paulito Usmali, 29, of Kahayagan Siayan. Wounded was Usmali’s companion Noel Sardon.

A police report disclosed that Randolino was shot in the head by his own neighbor due to land dispute about 4p.m.

A heated argument between Randolino and Rommel Antiojo deteriorated into a fistfight during which Antiojo drew a .45 caliber pistol and shot the former once.

Meanwhile, Usmali and Sardon were on board a motorcycle when they were shot by two persons riding tandem on another motorcycle about 1:30 p.m

Usmali succumbed to a gunshot wound at the back of his head while Sardon suffered a gunshot wound on his left shoulder.

Residents in the area rushed them to the hospital where Usmali was declared dead on arrival.
