BACOOR, Cavite, Philippines—(UPDATE) Two persons believed to be supporters of second district’s congressional bet Plaridel Abaya were killed after armed men fired shots at the van they were riding in Monday afternoon.

Bystanders who witnessed the shooting said two other sedan cars were traveling along with the van in Barangay Talaba 3 here when the gunmen struck at around 2:28 p.m.

The shooting happened in front of a police station.

Eyewitnesses said the two persons killed could be Abaya’s supporters because of the yellow sticker at the back of their vehicle.

Identities of the two victims have not been ascertained by the police as of this posting.
