Meanwhile, Elpidio de Juan Jr., 42, a painter from Molave St., Tondo, was also shot dead by a motorcycle-riding tandem, this time with white handkerchiefs and ball caps covering their faces.

De Juan was drinking with friends in his residence at 8 p.m. The riders stopped in front of the group, fired several gunshots, and hit De Juan fatally on his right chest before fleeing.

Also grazed by stray bullets were James Nagal, 10, and Reynalda Uy, 30, De Juan’s neighbors. The victims were brought to Tondo hospital for treatment, but De Juan was declared dead on arrival.
