Two men were killed while two others were injured in an ambush reportedly carried out by members of a local gang on Friday early morning in Caloocan City.

The victims were traveling along Barangay Bagumbong Itaas when their car was waylaid by a group of armed men at 4 a.m. Friday, a report aired over QTV’s “Balitanghali” said.

The gunmen supposedly alighted from a white utility vehicle and surrounded the victims’ vehicle before they open fired at the victims, according to the television report.

One of the passengers of the waylaid vehicle reportedly managed to escape the attack and is currently being traced by the police to give his testimony on the incident.

Local cops are looking at the possibility that the ambush was prompted by the rivalry between two local gangs, the report said.—Andreo C. Calonzo/JV, GMANews.TV
