MANILA, Philippines – Two suspected robbers were killed at a police checkpoint in Tondo, Manila around midnight Tuesday.

Police said the motorcycle-riding suspects drove past the police checkpoint, prompting a shootout.

Several items, believed to be stolen, were recovered from the slain suspects.
