QUEZON CITY, Philippines – Two men who had introduced themselves as policemen shot and killed a 30-year-old man in front of other people as he was playing in a billiards hall on Saturday afternoon in Quezon City, a police report said. Records of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit identified the victim as Dondon Fajardo, a resident of Barangay San Antonio in San Francisco del Monte, Quezon City. Police said Fajardo, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, died of his injuries several hours later at a nearby hospital. Witnesses said the two identified themselves as policemen, shot the victim and then casually walked away. The victim’s mother, Teresita, told the police that her son frequently went to the billiards hall and had no known enemies. Investigators said they had yet to determine whether the men who shot the victim were really policemen. Nancy C. Carvajal
