Police identified the fatality as Asgar Maut, single. Wounded was Mordison Asaali, 25, both residents of the said place.

A police report disclosed that Maut and Asaali were aboard a pedicab on their way to buy fish around 5:45 p.m. at Logoy Diutay when two men riding on a motorcycle appeared and the backrider drew a handgun and opened fire on them.

The victims were rushed to the Zamboanga City Medical Center, but Maut was declared dead on arrival,while Asaali was placed under observation.

Police recovered one deformed slug of unknown caliber at the crime scene.

The Tetuan police were still investigating the case.

In another incident, a simple argumentt led to a violent confrontation in which a man was shot dead by his neighbor in Sitio Mambala, Upper Licomo, this city last Tuesday night.

The fatality was identified as Mohammad Omar, 37, married. He sustained multiple pellet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Omar was shot by Joseph Pugita of the same place. He escaped afrte the incident.

Initial invetsigaton disclosed that Omar and Pugita had a heated argument due to misunderstanding. Amid the argument, Pugita pulled out a home made shotgun (sumpak) and shot him at close range.

Police said Pugita escaped aftre the incident bringing the firearm he used in the killing.

The Vitali police have launched a hot pursuit operation for the arest of Pugita.
