URDANETA City — A man was killed while another was wounded in two separate shooting incidents here last Tuesday. 

Newly-installed city police chief Supt. Paquito Navarette identified the victim in the first shooting incident at about 3 p.m in Bgy. San Vicente West as Malik Mamayandog, 41, a salt vendor, who was driving a tricycle on his way home in Doña Trining Village, Bgy. Camantiles. Mamayandog is in the illegal drug watch list of the city police.

Also killed at around 10 p.m. at the Almendres Convenience Store in Bgy. San Vicente Centro was Jurish Orlaza Palileo, 24, tricycle driver, of Zone 4, Bgy. San Vicente Centro.

A Scene of the Crime Operatives team recovered at the scene four fired cartridges and a deformed bullet for cal. .45.

Palileo was waiting for passengers when he was shot by one of two suspects allegedly for hurting the gunman’s child. Several empty shells for 9mm were found at the scene.                  Liway C. Manantan-Yparraguirre
