A 26-year-old printer  technician was killed while his two companions were injured during a rumble with another group following a drinking session in Sta. Cruz, Manila the other night.

Rafael Reballos, of 927 Quezon Boulevard,  Sta. Cruz, Manila, died instantly due to a stab wound in the stomach while his friends, identified as William Salvador, 21, of  Alley 3, Telecom Compound, Quezon Blvd., Sta. Cruz, Manila, and Richard Molina, 24, of the same address, were treated in a hospital due to a stab wound in the belly and side of the body, respectively.

Two of the five suspects were nabbed by alert barangay watchmen. They were identified as Richard Bacsal, 29, of 970 Kusang Loob St., Sta. Cruz, Manila, and Rodel Bacolot, 29, of 941 Quezon Blvd. also in Sta. Cruz. Bacsal and Bacolot were turned over to the police. Their cohorts, Madrin  Bacolot, a certain ‘Edgar’ and one alias ‘Lloyd,’ managed to escape.

SPO1 Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said the incident took place at around 10:30 p.m. at 969 Quezon Blvd. in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

Reportedly, the victims’ group was having a drinking session when Bacsal, whose group was also on a drinking spree nearby, approached the victims and danced in front of them and said: “’Pag nangursunada itong mga ito sa akin ay may kalalagyan”.

When the victims ignored Bacsal, the latter hit the victims in the nape, thus sparking a rumble.

Molina and Salvador were the first to be stabbed. Reballos ran away but was cornered and stabbed one after the other by the suspects.
