Police investigators are inclined to believe that the shooting to death of a former Bais City Hall employee could be linked to politics than the random act of violence.
Fifty-three-year old Alfredo Cule, who worked as a casual employee of Bais City for the past 9 years, was slain after he was ambushed by two motorcycle- riding men in Barangay Bio-os Amlan, on June 5. His companion Rameses Cardeño was injured but managed to call for help. It was too late though for Cule who died instantly from three gun shot wounds.
Cardeño also sustained three gun shot wounds in the stomach but he survived and is now recovering in one of the hospitals in Dumaguete City.
