TRECE Martires City, Cavite — Two drunk drivers figured in a gun and knife duel, leaving one of them dead last Sunday night.

Police identified the fatality as Wilfredo Tomada Batham, alias Boy, 57, of Daang Ilog, Purok 1, Bgy. De Ocampo, Trece Martires City. Wounded by knife was Cesar Mabilin Mabilin, alias “Arok,” 57.

PO1 Eugene Estrella Baird said Batham and Mabilin had a drinking spree at 7 p.m. when they suddenly argued at 7:30 p.m. Mabilin went home and came back later armed with a handgun.

Mabilin shot Batham who managed to hide behind the fence and fled. But the suspect chased him. Moments later, the victim stabbed him in the stomach. 

He shot Batham again. Batham died later in the hospital where the suspect also underwent treatment for stab wound.
