The fatality was identified as Salip Awang, 17, of Arena Blanco. Wounded was Sabturia Alfad of the same place.

Awang sustained bullet wounds in the head and body and died on the spot while Alfad was shot in the right leg.

A police report disclosed that Awang was on his way home aboard a passenger jeepney bound for the city proper coming from Arena Blanco where he returned the tricycle to its owner when two men riding on a motorcycle appeared and the backrider opened fire on him at Kilometer 8.

Alfad who was also a passenger was hit by a stray bullet in the right leg.

The killers sped away after the incident while other passengers scampered in different directions.

Alfad was taken to the hospital for treatment.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo has directed his men to track down and arrest the killers.
