MUS CITY, Cavite – A woman was shot dead by a man on Avenida Rizal in Bahayang Pag-asa Subdivision, Barangay Pinagbuklod of this city Wednesday afternoon.

Police identified the fatality as Godelia Evangelista Villanueva, of Mahogany Street, Phase I, Citihomes Subdivision, Barangay Molino IV, Bacoor City.

Villanueva sustained bullet wounds in the head and died on the spot.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Luis Divina said that the still unidentified assailant, armed with .9mm pistol, fled on board a silver and brown Hyundai Accent car without license plates after the attack.

Initial investigation showed that the gunman shot Villanueva three times in the head while she was in a jeepney plying the route Palico IV (Imus)-Shoemart Molino (Bacoor).

Meanwhile, a man was shot and killed also on Wednesday by two neighbors, both named Aaron, while he was resting in a relative’s house on De Guzman Street in Barangay 30 Caridad, Cavite City.

The victim, one Anthony Q. de los Santos, also known as Bulag, 22, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body and died on the spot. (Anthony Giron)
