DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – A 69-year-old widow was reportedly raped and then killed by still unidentified men in Sitio Humayao in Barangay Langkaan II of this city.

A belated police report said that the wounded half-naked body of one Adelina Rosales Fernan was discovered in the alley last Sunday.

The grisly find indicated that Fernan was sexually abused before she was killed. No one could tell yet who were responsible for the widow’s death. Fernan was a native of Carawan, Camarines Sur, and a resident of Sitio Humayao.

Supt. Joseph B. Penaflor, city police officer-in-charge, ordered a thorough investigation of the incident to identify Fernan’s attackers.

Fernan’s lifeless body was discovered by passing chief tanod (watchman) Narciso S. Barcena, 54, and other residents in Sitio Humayao last Saturday night.
