LA TRINIDAD, Benguet — Authorities have arrested three suspects for allegedly stabbing a college student on Tuesday.

The police nabbed the suspects in a farm station in Puguis on Tuesday night.

The suspects were identified as Roland Oreondo Ferrer, Jumarie Aparri, Isnoci and a certain “Mabo.” All suspects were reported to be vegetable porters.

Police investigation said the victim, 22-year-old Zaldy Ayan Aplas, and the suspects were playing billiards when a misunderstanding ensued between them.

Aplas went out of the billiard hall and while waiting for a taxi the suspects followed him and hit his head with an empty bottle. The victim tried to run to evade the attack but “Mabo” stabbed him.

Aplas was rushed to the Pines Doctor Hospital for medical attention.

The suspects are now under the custody of La Trinidad police while waiting for formal charges to be filed against them.

The identity of suspect “Mabo” is now being verified by Valley cops.
