DAVAO CITY, Philippines (Xinhua) – One person was killed and four others wounded in Monday’s grenade explosion in the southern Philippines.
Senior Superintendent Orlando Binas, provincial police chief, said Tuesday the incident happened at a pool hall in a village in Baungon town, Bukidnon province around 7 p.m. local time.
Ranel Blanela, 21, died due to shrapnel wounds after unidentified suspects lobbed a grenade inside the hall where he and four others were playing billiards at Balintad village.
Binas said they’re investigating the incident. The wounded victims are being treated at a local hospital.
