BAGUIO City — A man accidentally shot his wife during a heated argument over financial problem in Purok 8 Ext., Kias, Baguio City, the other day.

The victim was identified as Fatima Daluping de la Cruz, 44, and the suspect as Ben Coritog de la Cruz, 52, barangay tanod, both of Bgy. Kias, Baguio City.

Investigators said the suspect, who was under the influence of liquor, and his wife had a heated argument over financial problem while walking on their way home.         Upon reaching their house, the suspect took a cal. .38 revolver and fired at the G.I. sheet. The bullet recocheted and accidentally hit the right arm of his wife, prompting her to call for help. The suspect, together with his daughter, rushed the victim to Baguio General Hospital.

Baguio City Police Station 4 conducted a follow-up operation which led to the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of his gun.
