MANILA – A man died in a shooting incident during a campaign activity of a candidate for councilor in Pasay City on Tuesday morning.

Wilfredo Panahon, driver of local candidate Alvin Cruzin, was shot dead at the corner of P. Zamora and Prima de Marso Streets in Barangay 107.

Panahon’s body was found near the pick-up truck used in the candidate’s motorcade.

Cruzin was visiting houses in the area to solicit votes when the shooting occurred.

The balaclava-wearing suspects immediately fled the scene after the shooting.
